The hunter from the Electoral Palatinate
Antique gold & Hirschgrandeln ring, Germany around 1930
description
The rudimentary canine teeth of the red deer are called "Grandeln" and are considered valuable hunting trophies and are the most beautiful jewelry of the hunter's wife or the hunter himself. The ring presented here holds a pair of the coveted trophies and keeps them in warm, shimmering gold. A classic oak leaf motif made of gold and silver frames the Grandeln and optically leads us into the local forest, where the deer live, whose trophies adorn the center of the work. In the first half of the 20th A ring made in the 19th century uses an antique ring as a basis, it is a unique goldsmith's work. Today rather unusual jewelry with the most beautiful grandeln, in the long tradition of courtly hunting jewelry.

Hofer antique jewelry in Berlin
about us
Hofer antique jewelry
arose from the joy of beautiful things. It all started with my grandma, who was a lady who liked to adorn herself. She could tell something about each of her pieces of jewelery and when she opened her jewelery box, a world opened up: fond memories and touching stories connected with the pieces marked the highlights of a lived life. Based on these experiences, over the years a passion grew in me to deal with these small and always very personal objects.
