A sentiment to the time. The Victorian period when Queen Victoria was part of the Royal Order of the Garter. The front of the buckle is hand chased with the intricate swirls to give a wrapping vine appearance that flows within the buckle. The garter motif is complete with the belt going through buckle design and coming out the other side. Just beautiful and has the quality and craftsmanship like those displayed in a jewelry museum.
